Workshop: Understanding the Interplay of Environmental Stressors, Infectious Disease, and Human Health [seulement en anglais]
This free workshop will examine emerging research findings on the impact of chemical exposures (e.g. airborne particulate matter, heavy metals, and pesticides) and environmental disruptions (e.g. natural disasters and climate instability) on human susceptibility to infectious agents. Workshop participants, including experts on infectious disease, global public health, toxicology, environmental epidemiology, and science policy, will explore how this knowledge could guide research directions, health practices, and both domestic and global policy.
The meeting will feature presentations, panel discussions, and breakout sessions to engage scientists and decision makers in these important, cross-disciplinary issues.
