Protecting the Ontario population from radon: Challenges and opportunities [seulement en anglais]
Radon is a naturally occurring public health hazard that is found throughout Ontario in the buildings where we live, work, study and play. Public Health Ontario and various Ontario public health units have developed projects to promote knowledge and action on radon. This session will review activities to date, and highlight lessons learned and future opportunities for those wishing to address radon.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify the unique challenges of addressing radon
- Describe the various approaches that have been used to address radon in Ontario
- Identify resources that exist for public health units wishing to develop radon programs
